Toti waterfall 25th Spetmeber
Myself and a couple of guys from the 4x4 community are going to the Toti waterfall on the 25th of September! just thought i would post this here and see if there are any other hiluxes that are going to back me up against all the jeeps and land rovers....
"Should be a great day out!!!
Right Let's do this trip!!
It's open to everyone, meet at Doonside mall 8.30am depart 9.00am on 25 September 2011.
Directions: N2 south, take Seadoone exit (3rd exit after big shopping mall next to N2). Turn right at the traffic lights and doonside mall is about 500m down Seadoone rd, on the right. 21 Seadoone Road, Amanzimtoti. Meet in the car park
What to bring:
* Your 4x4 or 4x2 with difflock
* Stuff to braai
* Whatever you like to drink
* Something to sit on
* Anything else you want to eat or will need.
We need someone to volunteer bringing a braai...
We will meet at Seadoone mall again, and from there drive in convoy to the start of the trial.
We will take it slow and continue to a suitable braai area.
Then from there on we can go and find some play areas (mud, water, sand) for the braver people amongst us, and the rest can stand and watch, or keep the fires going
Very relaxed, no set schedule.
After the braai we head out of the valley again, also normally in convoy, but nothing is stopping you to leave early if you need to go. We take a different route out of the valley."

This sounds cool. Do you have any pictures of this place? And how challenging is it to get to the braai spot. I have yet to take my lux anywhere that requires 4x4.

I have no idea, this will be my first time there... why not come along!
I think have a look around the 4x4 community forum and i am sure there will be some trail reports and such!
I was up at Gwahumbe last weekend and it was a great place, nothing too challenging and didn't really need 4x4 just made the going easier on the GF's nerves i think... idealling along in low range!
I highly recommend it!!!
Hope to see you next weekend

Sorry Chris, my wife has made plans for the 25th. If I can get her to change her mind I will be in touch. I do appreciate the invite though.

Re: Toti waterfall 25th Spetmeber
Here is the weekends fun!
A whole troop of us from the community forum met up and went out to the TOTI waterfall! in total about 17 cars... 1 jimny (very impressed) 1 Tourag (not some impressive) One hilux SFA (big GERTIE) and about 3 other hiluxes ( i am not sure if they on this forum) 2 isuzus and the rest an entire shoal of Landies!
In one of the pics there is a 1958 old landrover that was beautifully restored and was loving it! Oh and 1 the only v8 was the range rover i think!
Anyways it was a great day out on a very easy little trail, with one tricky decent and one hill climb that didnt really test anyone but the jimny!!
Here are some pics.... a really beautiful spot! We braaied at the very top of the waterfall and had a generally good time!
I will try organise one maybe for just the hilux guys as i think it is better to go in a smaller group!
