1UZFE / 1UZFE vvti on a stand
Enige kommetaar welkom kretiek of goed. Groete

Re: 1UZFE / 1UZFE vvti on a stand
Hi Alex, very cool idea. I've heard of a group that sells the Lexus off a stand, with spitronics management, but OE would be great!
Have you got any idea of cost for such a unit?

Hi
Can you please tell more on the concept of the engine on a stand, I presume it is to start the engine when taking delivery. Does the engine come with a radiator then as well and is the transponder key and ignition still there? Would the cruise control still work on your setup?
Then lastly the 5 spead box you mentioned with the VVTi I presume you are talking about the A650E. Is there adapters available to use it on a standard hilux transfer case. I have seen many guys advertising adapters for the A340E to Hilux but no where could I find info on such adapters for the A650E

Jis Alex nou het jy 'n ding begin, my mond water sommer.

Re: 1UZFE / 1UZFE vvti on a stand
AM Racing 3 UZFE R 40 000 wanneer daar beskikbaar is.
groete

Alex, in terms of power delivery, torque and fuel efficiency, how does the non-VVTi stack up to the VVTi 1UZ??
I've heard guys saying that the non-VVTi is still better?? Now I'm wondering if the extra 5K is worth it for the VVTi version??
Tx.

I would also think that because the non vvti is less powerful it would be better for your gearbox and drivetrain.

Re: 1UZFE / 1UZFE vvti on a stand
Did a little research myself, the VVTi version is definitely more powerful and lighter on fuel!
1UZ non vvti: 195kw and 363nm (1995 spec)... pre 1995 versions were 191kw and same torque...
1UZ vvti: 216kw and 407nm (1998 spec)...
Interesting to note as well that the vvti version was mated with an upgraded autobox(A650E)...

Oh and, for what it's worth, the vvti is 23kg's heavier!Combined(new autobox) with the ETCS electronic throttle control system, it gave smoother shifts and enhanced both acceleration and economy. The gearshift now sat in a new gated selector, and a switch was provided to select a so-called 'Snow' mode. When activated, the ETCS opened the throttle very gently to aid traction.

Hi Alex

vvt of non vvt- daar is nie vir my n logiese antwoord hoekom n mens nog hederdaags n non vvt wil gebruik nie. Hulle is skaars ja maar baie meer verfyn, hy idle sagter as my V6 Fortuner.
GeorgeJvr 2jzgte vvti so R 24000.00 hulle ecu skaars soos die 6 spoed handratkas. Ek gaan nou een in n Land Cruiser in sak so dan sal ek vir jou n prys kan gee as alles hier aangekom het . My gat jeuk ook om my 2JZGTE te vervang met vvt 455nm !!!!!! skop ons die V8 se gatte lekker man. groete

Hi Alex
Die 2JZ-GTE en Lexus V8 is vir my doeleindes te sterk, daarom n paar vrae as jy dit dalk sal kan antwoord, ek dink daar is baie mense op die forum wat sal belangstel...

Nee jy gaan miskien of verseker stadiger ry as die 3.0 . Groete

Re: 1UZFE / 1UZFE vvti on a stand
Hi Alex
Cheers
Evert
PS. Is die 1JZ en 2JZ se blok dieselfde? m.a.w sal dieselfde bellhousing werk om hulle an n sfa boks te koppel?

1jz non turbo is going to be very pap. Go for the 3.0 with manul box, you can get the bell, clutch kit and flywheel from the agents and fit a supra box. Spartan did that set up on his truck. I find my pull off is a bit flat with the 1jz turbo but if you run it up to 0.8 peak boost thru the gears it dose start getting out of hand after a while and you gota slack of the pedal

Of maak ek iewers n fout?

On light throttle I can easily do 140km/h with my 7mge, with a heavier foot the needle hits the reset trip meter way past 160km/h

Thanx Mark
Should there be any reason why one won't be able to do the same with an 1jz-ge? What are your economy while doing a steady 120km/h gps speed on the highway with no wind and unladen?

I dont know much about the 1jz, but I get around 7km/l in and around town. I should get close to 7.5km/h on the open road.
