Hi guys,
I plan on going to Kaokoland during the June/July school holidays, but I need somebody to come along, better to be at least 2 vehicles. My regular travel buddy cannot make it. Take note that one has to be completely self-suffient w.r.t. food, water and fuel. Rough itenanery: Epupa falls, Van Zyl's pas, Marienfluss, Oriphembe, Khumib river, Huarisib river, Purros, Sesfontein etc. A trip like this can be rough, and your vehicle must be trust-worthy.
Anybody interested?
Cheers,
Chris

Hi Chris
We are planning on doing Northern Namibia in April, but wondering if you've heard how the recent heavy rains there affected Van Zyl's Pass and surrounding roads? We are very inexperienced 4x4ers on our way up to Ethiopia - trying to decide whether Van Zyl's is a good idea for us or not! (2 vehicles)
Cheers

Re: Kaokoland
Hi Lara,
I know of various groups that will be doing the trip during this school holidays, I'll let you know if I hear something, usually we do get good feedback. You can also keep an eye on overland.co.za. Kaokoland is definitely not for sissies, remeber, you have to carry fuel for at least 800 km (depending on your route of course), water, food etc.
But good luck!!
Cheers,
Chris
