Re: First aid kit
Used to always take Tabbard along on hunting trips .... but have hardly used it in years. We just make a potjie on the first night that's overloaded with garlic ... garlic with our breakfast on the first morning and that's it ..... ticks and mossies stay away. (Does wonders for your breath as well!! )
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.
Life is like a jar of Jalapeño peppers ... what you do today, might burn your ass tomorrow.
Don't take life too seriously ..... no-one gets out alive.
It's not about waiting for storms to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.
And be yourself ..... everyone else is taken!

I try and get Techniblock Sunscreen with Citronella. Works a charm. Alcohol based and not messy.

Uhm if I have a night like that I normally cannot remember what I'm doing there in the 1st place!!! Although nothing like the smell of garlic and brandy to make your travel partners complain for hours at end!We just make a potjie on the first night that's overloaded with garlic ... garlic with our breakfast on the first morning and that's it ..... ticks and mossies stay away. (Does wonders for your breath as well!!

No brandy ... and no-one complains since we all eat from the same potjie and same breakfast. Citronella oil also works well, and it's chiep ... use it on my dogs sometimes as well.

Re: First aid kit
When going hunting having a shower with tick and flea shampoo (teatreeoil and citronella) is also guaranteed to work.
Know what you don't know.
