Beetlejuice
Hi Guys
I am new on the forum and I am the proud owner of a Musso nonturbo diesel. Bad news is it is very pap. Good news is I am planning on joining most of you guys by installing a Lexus V8. That is definitely the best route for making reliable power....my opinion. Thanks for accepting me onto your website, I enjoying it very much. Cheers :D

HI Harry welcome
Don't let Fernando give you too much gas I mean he drives a Frod for crying out load. Actually the Musso is not that bad a vehicle but yeah those diesel engines were from a 1960's model Mercedes Benz a time when most engines did not perform nearly as well as modern ones. In anycase with a Toyota hart in in would be a great vehicle. Is your vehicle auto or manual

Re: Beetlejuice
Harry if it was my Musso I would also have investigated the possibility of converting to an Auto box while swapping the engine.
Is your van permanent or selectable 4x4?

Re: Beetlejuice
Thanks for all the welcomes.
I must say that the Musso really surprized me. It gives you a real comfortable ride with good offroad capabilities. I am not your typical fish in the water or 90deg climber, so I cannot talk for level 5. I did do some low incline rock climbing and went through dongas with no problems whatsoever. My vehicle is not raised or cut, just little bit wider wheels. That should give you an idea of what i am doing with it. Currently on the tar is very frustating overtaking with my little 7ft trailer. But as soon as I hit the gravel, I really enjoy my vehicle.
