Welcome aboard George!

If you get a 1UZ complete with auto box and management system, you already have most of what you will need. You will obviously have to change engine mounting positions (perhaps even the mounts themselves), change the length of the drive-shaft, do some exhaust and air intake modification (if you're doing it yourself then you'll need suitable piping and bends for both). You will also need a HP fuel pump if the one you have isn't suitable (but it should be). Radiator should also be upgraded (Lexus does not like to overheat) so you will need radiator hosing and clamps as well.

I'm sure there's a whole lot of little extra bits & bobs that you will need for the electricals, but the guys that have done these conversions can advise you better.

You should be able to use your standard exhaust end and airbox ..... you will just have to do some redirecting of both. Just have a look at the various "Lexus conversion" threads here (do a search) and see what radiator options there are. You could also just ask 'Silverton radiators' for their advice and even ask them to match (and fit, if you like) one for you.

I supply 1uz motors and boxes complete with engine and gearbox management systems, we start and tune them, you can fit it and conect a few marked wires and drive.
The gli 6 gear ratio will work fine and you can use the 3.0 Cressida Radiator, it should be a straight forward conversion, there is lots of space

Get an after-market Spitronics ECU .... more versatile than the standard one for the 7MGE. You will of course have to have it mapped and dyno'd, but that will be a worthwhile exercise in the longer term. You can even have two maps programmed into the ICU that you can change between with a switch on the dash .... one for town driving and the other for the open road for example. Should help a bit with power and fuel consumption. It will also be cheaper than trying to get a standard one from the agents.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

I'm sure that you could use the Cressida ECU but it's old tech and won't give you the benefits that the newer stuff can. Spitronics should be available from most spares outlets.

Here's where you might want the advice of someone that works with these units regularly, but my take is this.

Dictator used to be the best units available but some time back they lost their software guru to Unichip and since that time they have fallen way behind everyone else. Their units are still good but basic. You will have problems with idle control - no real adjustment available for this and depends on the idle control valve you fit.

Gotech are up there with Spitronics but have had reliability issues.

Spitronics is a far more versatile unit that allows for far more detailed mapping in more areas. For example you can map at rev increments of 100rpm minimum whereas Dictator for example only allows a minimum of 750rpm. There's the multiple map ability that's very useful and they're robust, generally problem free. You will have to get someone that knows their oats to map it, but then the same really appliers to any brand.

Hi Mud Dog

Making a decision on which ECU to take is very hard, the Gotech goes for R3500.00 & R1500.00 for install, the Dicktator goes for R2000.00 and the Spitronics is R4500.00 without install,, I need the lamda & knock sensor function on it. really confused

Nothing wrong with the Dicktator. I've done a few 4Y efi conversions using this EMU with excellent results. Used it on my own bakkie too. There are quite a few 7/5mge conversion running on Dicktator for many years. I think you'll need the wasted spark version which is a bit more expensive.
