Chev Lumina SS enjine in Hilux!!

I heard a rumour in the wind, that in Augrabies there is a Legend 35 shape Hilux on a Land Cruiser chassis. With, wait for it ........... a 6.3 V8 Lumina enjine, PLUS a Supercharger producing well over 330kw!!!!! :shock:

I made it my mission to get foto's asap! :cooldude:

Cobus, daai klink lekker wild!!! Ek persoonik dink dat daai 6.3 Lumina enjin maar baie overrated is. Wonder hoe sal n decent supercharged VVTI Lexus enjin doen. Kan net baie beter wees as daai yank enjin... :twisted:

Daai engine is presies dit wat in die Corvette diens doen.

Hy klink versekerlik beter as Lexus.

Vriend van my het so Lumina met 'n Supercharger wat hy van Summit Racing af ingebring het. As hy by my kom kuier kan ek hoor wanneer hy so 2 blokke weg is. En as jy daardie lang lepel trap in enige rat onder 110km/h maak jy strepe en rook en moet wakker speel om nie verkeerde kant toe te kyk nie.

Dink net daai Hilux-hybrid is 'n monster as ek dink aan Zeric se Lumina.

N bietjie gedoende lumina normal aspirated maak 600 perde op die agterwiele, twyfel of n lexus dit sal kan doen, n vriend van my het n 5.7 lumina n stroker gemaak na 6.0 en hardloop twin turbos op en hy maak 1300 op die agter wiele. En ja die chev klink baie mooier as die lexus, dis net meer muscle as die GR8 jap V8

With a Supercharger it makes 330kw yes, but you forgot to mention, that is on the wheels!!! Nm is around 720.

Flywheel power is over 400kw then.

Lexus V8 can go sleep, no way in hell it will ever make that power.

Look at the speed, where the revs are, and then teh redline of the revs.

got a 1uz fe with an eaton m112 blower on will post specs and pics when done in a 450 slc merc , but there is a 1gz fe 5l v12 toyota in the mix with 2 t3/t4 turbos strapped to it in :evil: :evil: :evil: a landcruiser and im sure that will be something else , and a h100 with a 1uz with twin turbos ( ct12a from the 2j motor ) coming .

In the offroading world it is all about torque... I dont care what the kW's are as long as the torque is available at idle, and the torque curve is flat like Table Mountain... dan is die saak reg... :thumbup: :thumbup: :twisted: :twisted: :twisted:
