Ek het my bakkie gekoop by 'n ou wat 'n kluis deur op het om die pedale te sluit.

Ill add to the list....

2010 Hilux dbl cab and almost lost it last week, florida rd, Durban. Looks like i came off lightly compared to some others...

Buggar grunched up the bonnet and dinged RH fender slipping in a crowbar of sorts. Managed to get alarm siren wire off without setting off alarm. Then went to LH side fender indicator, pulled it out, spliced the wires and bridged the indicator circuit blowing the fuse. Luckily this is how far he got before being disrupted.

Next step i hear from Toyota would have been broken door lock to gain access inside, then replace my ecu with their own, plug in and drive off with their own transponder coded key to match their ecu.

Damages come to R6500.... for bent bonnet and fender!!

Hilux went in today for service where they fitted new anti theft kit which adds/relocates the alarm sensor to the RH side of the bonnet, securing bracket around siren and a ecu brace so they cannot remove it.

Kits costs R450
Turns out when i fetched the car they charged me R1400 for the kit and to fit!!! I complained and said how can they rip the ring like this when they know this is becoming a massive problem!! Fitment should at least be free!! Especially when they tell me this is a common theft issue and they stock 10 of these anti theft kits at any 1 time due to them fitting so many.

Customer care call will come in a day or 2 where ill complain to them again about it....

I have a 2009 D4D dubbel cab.
I was told by Never Sure (Outsurance) to get the Toy to Toyota for the ECU bracket as well as the steering wheel lock plate. I only had to pay half and Never Sure paid the other half. And now talking about 3 years ago.

I Have just fitted a tracking device to my Tuna that allows me to cut power to a relay via SMS or per internet.
The tracking updates every 10 sec......
Power etc. is taken from a secret location, thus the unit placed where I want it - installed by myself, so location stay my secret.

Only thing I need to know is what wire to cut via 30A relay, without causing damage to any component of the vehicle.
This is a 30 D4D - any suggestions would be welcome.
