4x2 to 4x4 conversion plus more mods

Post by Charlieh85 »

Hey guys.

I thought I would post my conversion on here.
Basically I started with a 2007 Hilux 2wd open diff as we all know a real shitty diff
I have since put in a 4.1 matching lsd and I keep up with most of the boys on the 4wd trips we do.
I’ve also added a 2. “ suspension lift and am doing another 2. “ body lift tomorrow because I’m now running 31’s 9.5 wide mud tyres which keeps hitting guards when we go off roading.
My conversion is going to be simple. I found a full chassis with running gear and all
I am basically doing a body lift over to the new one and replacing the Ecu and cluster
As far as I know this should work... or so says my guy who has done it before and is going to do it for me early in the new year now 🤗

You might have to cut some holes for the shift levers
Happy trails
