Re: Spot lights mounting

Re: Spot lights mounting
Wilhelm, where is your number plate mounted? If it's not at the top piece of the plastic bumper (move it down if it is), you can take a piece of 30mm x 5mm flat bar that's just a little bit longer than the spacing you want between the spots and then shape it a bit to fit on a flat facet of the bumper. Drill your mounting holes and then drill corresponding holes in the plastic - Treat / paint the flat bar and put it behind the bumper with the spots bolted on through it. That might give the spots enough stability.

Re: Spot lights mounting

Re: Spot lights mounting
Youi can, but they will still be wobbly, because of the distance between the plate they get bolted to behind the grille, which is also about 0.0000001mm thick.. Even the std nudgebar is wobbly, and that has 2 very sturdy bottom mounts.. or at least mine was.. Those top brackets are only there to prevent the nudgebar from flopping forward when you brake suddenly..Mud Dog wrote:En as jy hulle namaak met 5x50mm flat bar? I LIKE Tuff tralies idea with the Raider pipe... something different, should be pretty sturdy and will also offer some protection for the lights in case you park to close to the wall in a parking garage.. Fantastic thinking outside the box there gents..

Here is my set up - know you didn't want a bar but maybe consider it as an option?

Re: Spot lights mounting
4x4 megaworld. But I strongly suggest using your own rubbers between the clamp and the bar as the ones that come with are a fraction too thin and the spot "falls over" on hectic gravel roads

Re: Spot lights mounting

Re: Spot lights mounting
Hi All,
Where does one mount the relay for a spotlight or lightbar?
I am fitting a switch for on / off but I'd like to know where one mounts the replay for this in a vigo / fortuner :)
Thanks :)
