Weekend Facelift to my Lux with some extras....
So I had my winch installed during the week
After looking at what remained of the nudge bar I decided to remove it as I did not like the look of the bar only and it always gets in the way on trails anyway.
New problem was now what to do with my spotlights as they were sitting on the nudge bar previously. Now I really loved my old LED lights but they were just to heavy (2.5kg each) for what I had in mind!
So off they went.....
Went to Uncle Barry at Safari Centre Meadowdale and he did me a very good deal on these babies (Lightforce Striker 170). Weighing only 560g each they were the perfect choice and they do pack a serious punch.
So redo the wiring loom and I'm done with the front end. It does stand out a bit but I think it makes the front look "clean with a bit of aggressive" Next best thing to a new bumper!
Now the recent newest addition to my van was the 75W solar panel. Wanted to be able to transport it safely and out the way...
So I designed the aluminium frame and manufactured the mounting points from steel, and joint to my cattle rail on the underside of the canopy. Designed to Fit the unit in the protective bag I had made so all the additions to the panel (Regulator, Cables ect) is in the bag. Now nicely and safely out the way and always easily accessible
When needed just remove from bag, put anywhere within 3 meter radius and plug into my electrical box in the back. 10mm cable to the front of the 85AH Discoverer gel battery and all works perfectly. Tested it recently at Bloemhof and after 3 days all batteries still fully charged.
I am quite happy the way it came out
What you okes think?

Re: Weekend Facelift to my Lux with some extras....

Looks very neatly packed, me likes
I see you tried hiding your reg plate, but one can make an educated guess
On a serious note, where did you get the sand/mud tracks and for how much?
