Where to buy mags in Cape Town?

Post by Tyrone D4D »

Hey guys.

So today I decided that I want to change the current wheels that's on my D4D for some new mags but after I went to 6 different 'Mag' Dealers I realised I'm wasting my time cause they all have 1 or 2 wheels each to choose from and they not what I want.Is this the reason that you either see stock wheels that's been resprayed to look different or people fit wheels that don't suit the Trokkies. Is there no dealer in cape town that has a decent 'Bakkie' mag selection to pick and choose from?I would like a Dick cepek wheel or something similar.Autoquip advertised 2 decent wheels but they don't have stock and not sure if they getting it in this year still. Please people tell me if I'm the only one that experienced this or do you know of the place that I should be looking at in Cape town.

I just fitted set of mags to my hilux over the weekend at Autoquip @ tygervalley.
I went thru same thing not a wide selection of mags.
Goodhope tyres in Goodwood also have a few mags available.

32" tyres on standard rim hit the inside, reason for fitting offset mags (also wanted a new look)

With mags and tyre combo i had to cut inside part of mudflap to clear. Touches mudflap when turning wheel to the max, but worth the effort for the look
