Post by Tyrone D4D »

Hey guys!I'm a new member to this forum. After many years of only owning German cars I decided to purchase myself a 2006 Toyota Hilux 3.0 D4D D/c but I realised soon afterwards that 'Mods' aren't as cheap as I suspected.I have a quote of R19000 for 4 spotlights!!!Wow!!!I want to fit spots,'Level kit' and UniQ chip.I'm based in Cape town and who could you guys recommend me to use? Thanks Tyrone.

Welcome to the family.
Yes you are 100% right the less expensive part is buying the 4x4 …
You have to shop around for the best prices and service . I used Winelands 4x4 in the past as they give excellent service and prices is not to bad either .
But since I moved to the west coast I only use 4x4 Direct

Welcome Tyrone

R19000 for spots!!?? :shock2:

I'd rather put in a good off-road suspension and still have a bit of moola left.

Welcome to the forum Tyrone
R13k is a rip off for 4 spots, some of the guys have said above, for that much I would do either suspension, off-road bumber or a good set of tyres.

Welcome aboard Tyrone!

The oke that pays 19k for 4 spots has rocks in his head! As mentioned, get hold of 4x4Direct for better options if you really want decent stuff at well affordable prices. As far as DIY fitment is concerned, they will advise you as well and if you run into any issues just ask here and you will be helped. ;-)

Hey guys.It was KC.The problem in cape town is that there is a handfull of dealers selling these 4X4 products and they all do business together in one way or another so it feels like they all price fixing the products so that when you call around there prices all +- the same so you feel that the price quoted is justified.I went on 4x4 Direct site lastnight and his products are very well priced compared to the rest of the retailers close to me.
