2006 VVTI, started out as stock standard. Have done the following so far :

- Installed front suspension spacers to level out the nose and make ride height uniform.
- 15 inch steel rims , sanded , primed and painted gloss black with 2k paint
- 31x10.5x15 Mud terrain tyres

So far I am very happy with the handling and the noise levels are only a slight distraction ( running the MT at 2.5 bars on road)

Very nice Warren  I like the mean look !
I have got the standard Hilux rims (same as the ones you want to sell)
My question is : I am thinking of spraying them a darker color, charcoal or gun metal finish ,but what is the biggest A/T tyre that will fit on those 15inchers ?
I suppose those M/T's of yours wont fit ?

Thanks
Eben

Welcome Eben,

I sprayed mine matt black and fitted 31x10.5R15 on it, the tyre still looks small in the wheel arch.

I think 31's is probably the biggest A/T tyre, if you go bigger you are looking at M/T tyres.
BFG has a 33x10.5r15, but I don't know if it is readily available. Power/performance will suffer a bit...

32x11.5R15 wil fit, but may debead easily.

Thats correct u can easily fit 31x10.5x15 on the standard rim, It will look great if u sprayed it.

All terrain or mud terrain will fit, Mud terrain give u the more aggressive look but will result in more road noise

Thanks for the reply. So am I correct to say that my Hilux wil have the same basic look as yours with only the front suspension lift (as you did) and 31inch muds on my standard rims ? Sounds like a mod to do asap !!
Thanks and cheers

Eben, welcome to the club/forum :celebrate:

The mods never end, maybe good to buy earplugs now so as not to hear the wife moaning about time/money spent on the truck :mocking:
