FYI, I'm busy researching these a little, so far it looks like Philips no longer make HID kits, and those on the market are fakes.

Will give you the links when I'm done!

Sorry, Philips don't make the ballast for kits anymore, but do make the actual HID bulbs and harnesses:

http://www.mobilehid.com/philips-hid-review.htm

Here's Philips' official site where you can check if your kit is fake or real Philips:

http://www.apr.lighting.philips.com/burner/

There are so many fake kits out there, just be careful you don't get caught! Stephan please let us know how well they work. I've heard a few guys saying the HID's won't work properly with H4 lenses, but I'm wondering if this is true because Philips and like have different models for different lenses, H1, H7, H4 etc.

Stephan, one more thing... Safari Centre sell an aftermarket standard H4 bulb with similar output and colour temp to an HID. When I bought my bakkie it had a set of these in. I have one of them in the garage, will post the brand name this evening. Heard they around R400 for a set!

Stephan, not trying to sway your opinion, but have a read at the topic on 4x4Comm Forum, very interesting and informative:

I'm still 50/50 on this!

Dankie, so vinnig daardeur gescan. My vrou se kar het xenons in, moet se ek moes 'n helse prys eksta betaal by audi, daarvoor.
