Advice please. I have read about the Exhaust gas reticulation on my 2009 D4D engine. Is it a good idea to blank it off. What are the pros and cons ?
If it is a good idea who can I take the vehicle to.
EGR valve

Re: EGR valve
Mike I'm.by no means an expert - so I'll share what I have read elsewhere:
The purpose of this valve is to help your motor reach operating temps sooner in cold weather.
Whether our weather is cold enough to justify the need of such a valve I cannot say.
The opinion of those "in the know" , was that it's best to leave it as it is.
Why would you want to blank it off?
