By 'shorten' I assume you mean go to a higher ratio?

I am not hundred percent sure on what the ratio would be in the 2.7, if I would have to guess, it'd be around 4.1:1 to 4.3:1?
With wheels and tyres that big you should go for something like 4.8:1.

If your rear axle on there is the local type, you're in luck. You'll be able to get a kit to just change the crown wheel and pinion, if its the import type, then no luck. Will have to change out complete axle.
