Sorry for the delay guys.... been helluva busy at work the past few weeks, and have not had much time to spend on my truck, or the forums.....
Fuel consumption is very similar to std, give or take a few points...... IF and only IF u drive it decently. This is very difficult though, as stated above, because with the S/C, the motor revs freely to the redline without u even noticing or in fact trying!!!!!
i had to condition myself to actually "short shift" while driving... When u "accidently" drive like i described above.... fuel consumption is almost halved... :x Torque is everywhere though, even with my 31"s, and cruising on the highway and passing traffic has become a breeze.... unlike before where i actually had to time a passing manouvre succesfully, or remain where i was behind a truck or similar.......
The watermeth kit is installed, but only pumping straight H2O at the moment. Methanol to be added later.... Using it primarily to cool down the S/C internally ( no intercooler ) I had to go up to a 580cc wmi nozzle, to even start noticing a drop in temps. Injecting H2O before the S/C and throttle body. The AEM controller has a built in map sensor that senses the boost pressure. It is adjustable for start and duration. Its set up to activate the pump as soon as it sees any + pressure (boost), and then pulses the pump from slow to fast(max delivery) depending on the secondary controller setting. H20 consumption at the moment is around 4.5 Lit to a tank of fuel, depending on driving style obviously.
On Saturday i had some time, and went to Viper exhaust in Kempton. I purchased some 63mm mandrell bends, straight tubing, two silencers and a branch manifold.
Went back to my shop, removed the teeny std exhaust system and started to manufacture my own "freeflow" system.... 3.5 hrs later i was done. i placed the rear silencer as far back as i could, as i hate a "blaring" exhaust.... this resulted in a nice subdued but deep exhaust tone.... just what i wanted..
The branch fitted with ample clearance around it.
At the same time, i replaced that damn "cone filter" induction with a HONDA sealed airbox and some silicone 76mm piping. This quitened down the S/C whine nicely, and got rid of the heat soak i had with the stainless steel intake tubing....
IF i get time this week, the truck will go back to the dyno, to tune the new exhaust, induction and watermeth all at the same time....
