Finally got round to fitting Spitronics to my Lexus Hilux

Post by DANIELK »

After having endless issues with the wiring on the OEM ECU, Some of the Issues:
1. Felt like you hit Rev Limits at 3500rpm
2. Getting Hesitation
3. Bad Fuel Usage
4. No Power
Im sure the computer was in Limp Mode, it was getting bad was about to :surrender: ( brought it with the original ECU in). Just about replacing every dam sensor lol. So I went and purchased the Orion advance ECU the 1UZFE non vvti kit R 5400.00. It seemed very straight forward, had no major issues at all doing the change, also gave me time to take out all the other doggy wiring from perv. Owners as well. After installing it turned the key 🔑 she purred wow 😳 I was amazed at the difference. Took 2 days off work and started the job 4 days later she was great again.

This is just before old harness came off . The previous owner had the computer in the engine bay, in a steel box that was rusty and messy.

Did you do a dyno?
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

 It's a "must do" so don't leave it too long. Chances are very small that the base map is running too lean but if it is you can burn valves. :winkx:
