Good Morning
I trust all is well.
I bought the 2020 Toyota Hilux 2.8GD-6 D/C Legend 50 4x4 Automatic. I have spoken to a couple of same vehicle ,2.8 4x4 Automatic, owners and search the internet (see i.e. link below) to find out about the REAL – tyre to the road - fuel consumption of this vehicle.
All gave me figures of approx. 8.0 to 9.5km/L ( combination - city and hi-way). Why is that I cannot get lower that 10,5-11.2km/L in Eco mode. Now I know the first that is said “depends on how you drive”. If I drive more casual I am going to fall asleep.
Does anyone have some insight into why this is.
Thank you kindly in advance.
NB – why is the Toyota oil see-through? Serviced my own cars since 1986 and have never seen see-through oil.

Hi there tell me are you talking about lt/100 km or km/lt, I am getting about 10.5 lt/100 km and I also drive no faster than the speed limit or just below.

Re: Fuel Consumption
If you're getting 10.5+ km/l then you should be happy!
I'm struggling to get that on my manual!!!

Re: Fuel Consumption
I agree 10.5 Km/lt is very good as I say I only get 9.5 Km/Lt and that is driving very cairfully and usualy slower than the speedlimit.
