New Hilux Fuel Tank Range

Good day all,

I've had the new 2.8 GD6 AT Hilux for 3 months now, and I have concerns about the size of my fuel tank.
I always fill up when the warning-light goes on but on average it only takes about 50Lt to fill up.
Recently I drove until the 'Range' function said that I can only go 15km further, and what?, a whopping 57Lt refill!

The Tank is supposed to be 80Lt; does it keep 20Lt in reserve?
Has anyone else encountered this?

Hi, have heard the Aussies have simmilar issues, although Toyota Au has recognised the problem and released updated software to correct it.
My father is also experiencing the same with his Revo. So hopefully Toyota SA can come through with the goods.

Strange enough, i am experiencing a similar problem with my late '98 IFS Hilux. (only recently bought the vehicle)
Shows almost empty, but when i fill up, around 50lts, when the booklet says tank is 81lts.

However, my problem is probably a bit of an easier fix than it would be with the Revo.

Drove my revo to beyond the light and it only too 64lts...really!!
