D4D double cab seat back folding possibility?
I was wondering if anyone knows if the rear seat back of the double cab can fold as there seems to be an area behind it that can be used for storage?

Undo the back rest .
Cut off no more than 10mm of the two hooks.
You may have to adjust the two back steel loops mounted on the back firewall, to avoid rattling.
10 min tops.

We did a team building trip to Namibia, up the Koneni over Van Zyls and then down the coast to Swakob and back to Durban.
Howling moon had a competition if you sent them a photo of there products being used they, would send you a hamper. Send a photo of my roof top as the sun went down on Van Zyls.
So to give you a short answer , it is one of Howling Moon s products.
I have snatch strap , puncture kit, gauge, globe, husband some initiative and two fly rods behind the seat.
Lots of space.

I think that its a brilliant idea, I will have a look this weekend, thanks Longway. I have been considering this area behind the seat for a while, for rods and so on.(Same idea )
I have a set of toyota pockets that fit an extra cab rear which I wanted to use behind the seat back...

Re: D4D double cab seat back folding possibility?
Quick question guys and im not in a witch hunt or sound like the health and safety police. Has anyone had any negative experience with regards to cutting those securing hoops as they seem to have some hooks in the bottom of the bracket so just curious what their function is? Is that not a safety critical component? I dont want to go cutting my seat and potentially putting my daughters life in danger or anyone else in the vehicle for that matter.
