Re: Rust de Winter 4x4 Bundu Trail 1st to 3rd March 2013
Ok Guys and Gals
We need to put a positive booking for this weekend.
If you would like to pay now, I'm sure we can secure it at R450 as i have been informed that their MIGHT be an increase for next year.
So lets not take the chance of an increase.......
We need a min of 10 positive paid vehicles then we will secure the weekend.
I have spoken to Cassie and we are welcome to use the clubs account for all payments.
Please use your forum name followed by "RdW0313" as your reference for payment.
Eg. MOFASA RdW0313
If im not mistaken this is the account details......
[clubbanking]UserName - Rdw0313[/clubbanking]
Please email proof of payment to clubadmin@hilux4x4.co.za so they can keep track of payments and update the list......

Kenneh, I have done part of the trail with my wifes Terios so I cant see why not. You have the height and you have done a few difficult trails before. Besides, If you get stuck we will all help. But lets hear what Johno says as this is his baby and he is in contact with them.IISARGE wrote:do you recomand 4x2 to do the trail or not

I asked Peter Claasen about this, He said the clearence sounds fine but if your side steps dont have a rock slider type frame then he surgests you remove them....Lollie wrote:Johnno will i have to remove side steps of my bakkie for this trip? The ground clearance of the steps is 460mm.
At the end he said Its your choice but does not want to be held liable for any damage to them if they do get damaged......

Sorry I do not agree with this, you said in your earlier posts that payment should be finalised 1 month in advance. I do not want to loose my spot cause I can't pay now. Would you give up your spot cause you haven't payed yet?MOFASA wrote:Cleaner wrote:If I pay so long, can I have a spot of someone who has not yet payed? (One way of getting payment in advance )

I didnt say i would kick anyone off the list i just said im sure we can organise something......
Now organising something might have ment that i would approch each person and ask if they were dead set on doing the trail or that I would try to get RdW to allow 16 vehicles and not 15 like we have now.....
Just to set things straight a plan has been made and NO BODY is loosing their spot on the list.........
I have spoken to Peter and he will allow 16 vehicles but NO MORE......
So CLEANER you are in luck and you are on the list for sure.....
You owe me a bottle of Cookies & Cream....

So it looks like we have a gr8 group of hiluxers going...
I sure am looking forward to this weekend, its gonna be AWSUM...
Gr8 people, Awsum trail, wicked vehicles......
Thats the recipe for an AWSUM, Fun filled weekend.....
I know this is way to soon but maybe we should look into the convoy time and starting point....
And another thing, the Saturday night up on the mountain and ideas on the braai, should we all club in, or every body takes what they want and we just sit braai and enjoy the company??

They sort of manage that part for you as they make a large fire at one specific spot. There is limited space on top of the mountain. You can however braai on a skottel or something if you want.MOFASA wrote:So it looks like we have a gr8 group of hiluxers going...

Cool so the fire is taken care of as its only supposed to be in one spot...CasKru wrote:They sort of manage that part for you as they make a large fire at one specific spot. There is limited space on top of the mountain. You can however braai on a skottel or something if you want.
So now we know we'll be chilling round a fire talking about Hilux stuff and the events of the day....

Hi guys & gals
I need to make a decission on the payment part for this weekend....
I need to know if any people on the list will object to the following...
We need to have payment in full by the 1st of Feb 2013.
So here is what i was thinking.
The list stays secure till the 23H59 on the 1st of feb.
As from the 2nd of Feb the list opens to the standby list.
The standby list then has the option to fill any place on the list of people that have not paid yet...... (yes that includes my place on the list if i have not paid by then)
Please post comments or agreement and PM me if you have a valid reason for an objection to this.......
I am not trying to be pushy, I just want to make sure that we have a min of 10 vehicles PAID and ready to go by Feb or else I WILL have to cancel the weekend.... AND I DONT WANT TO DO THAT............
