Simon, mine was always "dark grey" along the bottom since I got it 5 years ago. Just added the re-sprayed black rims :D:

Now you just need the black rims

Thanks for the comments

Got back from the recovery demo just now.

We met at 3PM and headed to the open ground via a sandtrack at the back of the NMMU University.

We had a mixture of vehicles, Touareg, Nissan TeranoII, 80 Series Cruiser, Lanrover Defender and a Jeep Rubicon of Dirk's from 4x4 Community, along with the Colt and Triton of Chris and Barto from EC Offroad Adventures.

Interesting, and a lot of info was absorbed by all present. Nice presentation EC Offroad

There was a snatch strap recovery demo, and a winch recovery demo.

After the session, we all had a good play in the sand :D

Thanks Andrew

I tried that difficult hill you didn't get up and boy, did you dig some serious holes  I eventually made it on the third attempt basically ploughing through on my bash plate as the holes where deeper than my little triton could reach with it's feet.
