I need to send a list through to Thaba Monate with the names of all attendees for them to control access. I will be using your forum names (my appologies, I do not know everyone by name and surname yet  ) so please use your forum name when reporting at the main gate and you will be directed to your correct stand. I also need the names of members who will be coming as day visitors for the same reason. Even if you're not 100% sure of attending add your name as I don't want to be called to the gate everytime someone unexpected arrives.

DSC00014.JPG

Can I kindly request all members to please keep me in the loop if you make any direct arrangements with Thaba Monate? I have no problem with you dealing with them directly but it is becoming a logistical nightmare as they deal with real names which I have to try and connect to forum names :alvarin: Just send me a PM please :beg:

Guys and gals. Just a quick thank you to all the organisers and each and everyone that pitched in this weekend. It was absolutely awesome. We had an excellent turnout and it was great fun. It was nice to see all the old faces and met some new ones.

Sorry for showing you that a Hilux can get stuck but hopefully you learned something in the process

Dankie virrie fodies Koos.

Thanks friends, it was a day with a couple of laughs.

I think we need to look at group buys on differentials, reverse cameras and tow straps.

Here are some of my memories from yesterday.

Thanks Marius, Cassie, Johan, Koos and Johan for the help when my belief in my Hilux exceeded my skill and the vehicles real ability.

Yip, took a bit of time, but Dreadnought got us home. He kind of got himself out the "To sell" bin.

Lollie, ek het lyk my 'n halwe job gedoen.

Agge nee. Dis nie goed nie. Het nogal gewonder waarom hy so stil was.

Dawie, ek is self verlig.

DSCN0494.JPG
Unfortunate for the break that Heinrich occured, but let it be a reminder to all how fun can in an eyes wink turn into disaster, imagine a break like this occuring at Koos se klim...................... :blackeye: . Great respect for Cassie aborting the obsticle after the incident

That would be the last everybody would see Dreadnought 100% operational. After that climb at the steps to "Hell" I had a serious departure between ability and belief; in other words there was a serious malfunction.

Dreadnought knows "Koos se klip" very well. That diff destruction on "Koos se klip" is a recipe for serious disaster. I can note this as the danger of having too much grip at the wrong time.......

Some pics of Cassie in action.

Here is a bit of footage of Johan going down the grade 5 obstacle where Heinrich's Dreadnought suffered some damage. Downhill this is a grade 3 to 4 but uphill most definitely a grade 5 or worse. Going downhill you just have to use the cars own momentum and steer it in the right direct where as when going uphill you have huge steps and loose gravel under the rocks to negotiate. This footage does not really give a true reflection of the difficulty of this obstacle but will give you some idea...

PS: Sorry for the shakiness of the footage. I was trying to guide Johan while taking the video

Lekker bly maar lekker. :yahoo: :yahoo:

:dance1: :dance1:

Koos as `n man kan dan kan jy - ek glo almal sal saamstem dat jy kan maar so `n funksie reël en sien ek uit daarna dat jy `n volgende "event" reël en organiseer. :boss: :boss:

Donkey Sorry that you did'nt bring Cupcake with. You looked very lonely and a but lost without her.
