It was time for a Canvas Canopy + Roof Top Tent

So after building the slide system - ( previous post) , it was very much time to get a canopy, and with luck I managed to find a custom built aluminium light weight frame and canvas canopy on Gumtree for a real steal!

This frame was perfect for doing a full alu conversion at a later stage, and well I have always wanted canvas ( security is a little issue ) but then again, I dont drive around town much parking in dodgy places. I just added some nice LED lights to the inside roof with a little custom control unit and we where ready for our first family trip with the new rig!

Once fitted, back to good ol Gum Tree for the Roof Top Tent - another bargain for a nice 1.4m setup and the back was completed:
