Long due project filally done during december

Post by ôita »

I allways wanted to add a box at the back of my bakkie to keep all recovery gear and spare parts and gadgets and so on. Later I felt the need to also add a power point for a torch, pump or what ever the need may be as I run out of space in front at the normal lighter socket.

I had the box that I got from a friend when he sold his SFA. I had a vigo 2.7 d/c and then a SFA and then sold that one for my current one.Waited almost 3 years and finally did it. Glad I waited....

Sommer ran through a 3 core 2.5mm wire fron the front with a inline fuse. Secured the box to the loadbin with two bolts in the middle and four shock rubbers underneath each corner between the bin and the box to lift it a little and prevent rattles. I also fitted a light and switch I had laying arround to use at night when I want to take something out in the dark. I used connecter blocks so that I can add or take off things quickly. I only fitted a lighter plug for now but will add a hella plug later...I'm not a boffin at this type of thing so any comments on changes or improvements will be welcomed. Attached some picks.

So 'n lig sal nie so helder brand nie????

'n 15A fuse sal vinniger pop as 'n 25A, geen probleem nie. Jy gaan seker nie sulke groot goeters hak nie. 12v x 25A = 300 watt, 12v x 15A = 180 watt.

Voltage drop is net belangrik as jy 'n tweede battery wil laai, kyk bv. hoe dun is die ligte agter se draadtjies.

Baie dankie daar leer ek nog iets by....Daai geel liggie gaan net vinnig gebruik word (2-3min) as ek iets binne-in soek.

Hello Kobus netjies projek.

Kyk bietjie na die boksies wat ek gebruik het om daai punte veilig te hou - viewtopic.php?f=41&t=37810" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
