Electrical additions - help needed

Post by niclemaitre »

Hi there

I'm wondering if anyone knows where I can find tough, screw/clip together plastic boxes that I can use to organize the relays and other bits and pieces under the bonnet better? I'm talking about the kind of thing that electricians/sound engineers use to protect custom circuitry.

This kind of thing (a clear lid would be better):

I'm planning on adding 3-4 relays and would really like it if I could keep it neat and tidy under the bonnet. Removal of some of the junk left behind by previous owners is also on the cards. Currently I have removed 3 relays, several fuses and 22m of wiring that connects to nothing...
Happy trails
Nic

Your local Electric supplies store, eg Voltex, ARB, Keens, etc.

A "2x4 York Box" from an electrical supplier may be what you're looking for (2x4 is not the actual measurement - it's the same size as a single plug outlet, but it has a sliding lid, not sure you'd be happy with that.

Gevaarlike plekke wat julle van praat, veral ACDC, met die oop rakke en die baie "moet-he" items.
En veral as jy rubber arms, soos ek, het. lol
