Mobile Tranceiver Mounting Place Inside Hilux D/C SRX.

Good day.
I need some ideas and input, please.

I purchased a second hand mobile tranceiver. I want to design and build my own mobile mounting bracket.
The problem is not really the designing and mounting, but rather mounting place inside the vehicle.

I want to fit this unit into the 2008 Toyota Hilux D4D D/C 4x4 SRX. From what I can see, there's no practical space for mounting this tranceiver.
I want it to be in good reach from the driver side position and not too much in the way. No "seperation kit" available and no mobile mounting bracket. (Thus the designing of a new one.)
I prefer not to make any new holes in the vehicle.

Can some of you help me here, help with some ideas and photos for possible placement, please? :-[

How about in the spot of the grab handle on the drivers side (obove your head) then you will be able to hear it nicely as well

Transceiver: TRANSmitter-reCEIVER, or a radio in plain speak.

Can't find the post now (searching off a phone sucks) but someone made an alu bracket that fastens on where the rear view mirror attaches and used that. They also make roof consoles that can take radios. Or you can mount it to the fittings used to hold the gear leaver boot.

okayyyy - so we are looking for a radio bracket - more precisely WHERE to fit it in a Vigo ....

Thanks for the responses thus far. It really is much appreciated!
I am still undecided.
Due to the many functions and functionalities of my tranceiver, I would really prefer mounting it horizontally. I would have to look at the display fairly often, therefore mounting it vertically would be very impractical for me. (B.t.w., it's the Yaesu FT-8100R.)
Though... options in a Hilux is just too limited therefore not leaving me with much choices.

I truly do not know what to do!!!

George, not sure if you are aware that this is an Amateur Band radio, licenced only for Radio Hams? It is not intended for Commercial frequencies. Apologies if you are a Radio Ham.

MAAR, ek het nie so "gat" in die dak nie. En ek dink nie ek is bereid om so gat te maak nie. Ek wil reeds nie gate maak nie.

Net die 2 sonskerms. (Al gedink om tussen hul een of ander bracket te prakseer, maar wat dan weer gedoen met die drade...)

Gedink om dalk my eie seperation kabel te maak en in te "tap" op die tranceiver se pcb en die display.

Sit daar nie ñ liggie/bril houer in jou bakkie nie? Die fotos is van ñ 2006 Hilux.

Kyk agter die roof lining. Baie modelle het die drackets klaar in die voertuig maar dit is eers op die einde van die assembly lyn dat hulle die verskillende opsies begin opsit.

Die brackets en nuts behoort agter die rooflining te wees vir die lig / bril houer.

Only one correct way to mount the antenna - 20mm hole at the highest practical point of the vehicle.

Thos would have to do for now. See if it works.
Soldered a cable between the tranceiver and display and works 100%.
