Ok so ek het medi oog gesteel en die bullbar try oorteken om dit te bou... Hoe lyk die storie vir julle? Ek moet nou net lazer cutters en n plaat bender kry in die vuildriehoek rond...

My plate is gesny en gebuig!!! :yahoo: Nou die vraag... CO2 welding of gewone arc welding? Watter een gan beter lyk en watter een gan sterker wees? En as ek nou klaar is met die welding wat stel julle voor met die verf werk? Primer dan powdercoat of wat?

E-Coat is ook maar 'n primer laag wat mens opsit. Dit is net baie sterker en beter.
Die part word gevat en dan in die vloeistof gedruk. So alle hoekies en draaikies word bedek aangesied dit 'n vloeistof is.
Daarna word dit ook deur die oond gesit om gebak te word.
Wat jy dan kan doen as jy 'n lekker gladde afwerking soek is om die part dan te "flat" met water skuurpapier en dan te stuur vir powder coating.

Ontrend alle suspensie onderdere op 'n voertuig word met die proses gedoen.

Ek het toe die plate gekry en dis toe wat oor die naweek aan mekaar gesit was. Ek moet nog dik wand 50mm pyp kry en buig dan kan ek die outjie klaar maak

Yup there aren't any difficult bends so it was easy to design. The pipe work might be a little more difficult 2 x 45bends and a straight section... I still need to buy a pipe bender though. I had to grind the upright section out a little as EWG could not bend a 15mm radius only a 10mm.. The bar was also not a perfect 90 bend so the 4pounds did some talking...

Ok so gister waai ek toe bietjie vroeg bydi werk en kom op die plek in die vuildriehoek af met die naam Ruma... Kry toe daar sched 80 pyp stuk vir die kant bends en shed 60 vir die voorste bar. Opad huistoe laai ek toe die pyp bender by n ander uncle en so met n opgewondenheid opad husitoe. Ek het toe perongeluk presies die regte lengte pyp gekoop, met n moerse gesukkel die goed gebuig gekry en toe die welding begin... Ek het daar ook agter gekom om ordentlik dik ysters te weld met 2.5 rods nie die regte besluit was nie maar die grinder sal vanand maar moer gesels om als mooi glad te kry. Ekt paar snappies geneem. Sover kos die bullbar my:
- R655 vir plate en buig
- R580 vir die pyp
- Bietjie garage tyd en so gros welding rods en paar lemme
- Ek moet nog powdercoat(weet iemand wat sal dit kos?)

dws ek skat onder R2000 vir die hele ding waar import van Man A Fre my oor die R10k sou kos vir n soortgelyke bar!! Dink dis n tap op die skouer werd :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Ok so came across guys at the outdoor extreme show that does powder coating so another R550 bucks then it will be finished. This will have to wait though due to some time constrains on hand till the 14th... Will get pics posted when its done

Sooooooo nou dat die troue en honeymoon verby is kan ek die outjie klaar kry... Ek wil vanand net gou n stuk square tubing in die bullbar kry vir n hak op die neus dan more aflaai by die powdercoat ouens dan is die outjie klaar! Dan sal ek met die sparewheel carrier towbar begin!

EK het gistraand gou die cut gemaak vir die hak op die neus dink dit het nogal goed uitgekom... Al wat ek kan se is n plasma cutter is n lekker ding!! Vanmiddag gan die bulbar na Thorcoat toe vir powdercoating... Is nou nogal opgewonde om die ding kla gekry
