Post by Thunder02 »

So I've decided to start a new thread, going to show progress of how the canopy is going to be prepared for overlanding trips, any comments or hints welcome
The canopy was delivered yesterday,so first job on hand is to fit it to the vehicle.
The following pics is of it not bolted down, but only put in place to see how it looks.

Not too sure what you plan to stow in the large pockets, but if its something heavy, you should try to keep the weight at the bottom. I've found that over a period of time the heavy stuff tends to migrate downwards, especially on rough terrain.

Just something to keep in mind going forward.

Next job on the list is to fit the deck above the fridge and finnish the table that's going to fit under the fridge slide.
while this is all on the go,my wife is still trying to get the two kitchen boxes sorted,to me this is the worst part of the whole project. :frustrated:

Thanks Cassie, was one of those days
They are loaded in out that door, and then still plenty place undeneath to load stuff. To me that area of a canopy is always wasted, hence when i orded the canopy only three boxes where put in.Also note the two kitchen units sit on the passenger's side,so when you pull off the road the person working is not standing in the road.
Nearly made a mistake with that one. :blushing:

I added a piece of alli angle, with the lip facing into the vehicle so that the bolt can not slide off the canopy frame.Seems to work :yahoo:
