Rear 12v Power points
Hi guys!
Just thought I'd share a few pics with you of a box I built for 12v power supply to the rear of my Lux. This is a first for me, building such a thing!
I will run power from the main battery via the National Lunar fuse/distribution point, I also want to add a Hella cut-off switch for when the power points aren't in use. I do not have a dual battery system (yet), this will hopefully be in the near future! For the moment I will use the power points for when I go camping for LED lights and charging a cellphone or using the electric pump for blow up mattresses.
I will do the wiring to the rear of the Lux at the next opportunity that I get!

Sorry, forgot to add the internal view!
Took approx 3 and a half hours to build this box and a cost of under R350.

Stuart, nice job...
What is the amperage of the on/off switches?
If I may ask, where did you buy them?

Hi!
They are 16A. I bought them at Communica, in Samrand between Centurion and Midrand.

Re: Rear 12v Power points
You see now that photo of the inside of the box scares the living daylights out of me, I just see lots of wires, preferred the neat looking outside view.

Yep, I was wondering about that too - they looked kinda small! But 16A should be fine. ;)

Re: Rear 12v Power points
Just an update... This is the wiring, front and rear Still need to mount the box.
I am going make up an extension, so the box can be mounted anywhere in the "bak" and also so that I can use it out of the vehicle when camping etc.
I still need to add in the cut-off switch at some or other time.
