Build your own lighterplugs

Post by Bushwacker »

I used 25mm copperpipe and 5mm perspex. The positive pin is a screw and it holds a ring connecter. The earth is soldered to the casing. You can glue the plug into place with a gluegun wherever you want to mount it. It costs around R30.00 for a new plug with a lighter,so if you only need the female plug, you have to buy the lighter too. I went to the scrapyard for a plug, and was told that they sell the lighterplug with the dashboard. Ha Ha Ha

Piet,

You're a man of many talents! Your home-made lighter plug will probably be more successful at high currents than the bought article :)

Maar hoekom gebruik jy nie net van daai multipoint met extension drade wat hulle by makro/outdoorwarehouse of sulke plekke verkoop nie, dis nie so vreeslik duur nie?

Jou patent lyk goed maar ek wonder maar net hoekom so baie moeite?

Bennie, ek is mal oor sulke tiepe moeite en dit kos my niks. Ek kan soveel van hulle aan mekaar vassit soos ek wil om 'n multi - multiplug te maak.
Ek het ook hierdie 26Ah batterykas met laaier gebou vir my 6 kamp/loadshed ligte en waaiers.

Hier is my kamp/loadshed fans. Die 12 fan paneel trek 3 amps. My vuurwaaier is 12volt want die slinger se ratte het gestrip, en 'n ou haardroëer motor het die ding gedoen. My gennie is met meters ingerig vir batterylaai.
