I look forward to it!

I was also considering the conversion, but decided to leave things as they are. I am somewhat interested in the results obtained by kaspaas with his lights in this thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=860

just came across this thread as it cought my eye. i put in an HID kit into my car the other day because my lights really were dangerously dim to start with, after the conversion all i could say was WOW, i can see in the dark again. so for me it was less dangerous. now to be truthfully honest, i didnt read the entire article. so i know i can carry on reading but the first few paragraphs didnt make much sense to me about the quality of light. so i stopped reading and rather want to ask one of you in short what it all meant, im just happy to see again.

ok got it, just should have watched the video. does anyone know if the article talks about HID's that are completely open, because the kit i bought had a reflective plate running along the top side and the reflective end cap, i played around with beam pattern buy first removing the end reflective cap, looked at the beam pattern on the wall and measure the brightness with my photographic light meter. then also removed the top reflective plate, noted the beam and took the measurement and then also with all plates attached and found that yes, with the plates all removed the beam was all over the show and also more dim on the light meter as it didnt focus on a perticular point. between all the covers on and all off was a difference on 2 stops of light. with the plates attached i got a proper low beam and high beam difference. are these now newer modified bulbs that i have that werent around during this test? because i will be very reluctant to take them out and go back to what i had. ha ha

Probably an upgrade / improvement on what was available 4 years ago, Sven. Keep them in if they're working fine. :D:
