Stuck CD

Post by gary955 »

Hi, I'm trying to help a Mate, with the removal of a CD that is stuck in his bakkies radio.
Has anyone done this before ?

I have removed the entire unit and there is usually a release mechanism, but I can't locate
it.
Please HELP . . . :?

Thanx

Gaz

If you've already removed the unit you might as well open it up and remove the CD by manually advancing the eject mechanism. ;-)

Only know how to get it out of a CD-writer or a Hi-fi or portable CD player... not a bakkie :(

I have had to do this before out of my wife’s old OLD Panasonic CD player. What I did was remove the unit. Unscrewed the 4 or 6 screws at the bottom of the unit then I lifted the magnetic thing holding the disc against the lens and tilted the unit and the CD came sliding out. I do know with certain SONY headunits there is a little lever which once the cover is off you can see and if you pull this lever back it lifts and ejects the CD. Hope you come right.
