Re: Have I blown a head gasket?
I think you need a holiday Darryl, if your head gasket is blown.
If your trucks gasket is blown , well then, have you had a combustion test on the frod yet?
I assume by done everything, you mean youve checked thermostat, leaking pipes, radiator cap etc etc?

Re: Have I blown a head gasket?
If all pressure and combustion testing didnt show anything then unless there is a blockage in the radiator, I fear you might have a blown gasket.

Darryl
I had the more or less the same problem on my 4y. Used like you said in another thread Barsleaks (worked for a month). Checked the radiator at Silverton - 6 microscopic holes in core
New radiator R1395-00. No water in oil. Took of the head and surprise surprise HEADGASKET BLOWN. . Changed the H/G 3 weeks ago . No heating problems since then.

I tuned into the 4x4 Challenge on Discovery last nite.
I see that most of the Toyota's were powered by "2ltr Celica Engines"
Would that be the 4T Motor
They weren't exactly short of grunt nê

Re: Have I blown a head gasket?
Why the "odd" sizes? Go 350 chevy en klaar... Spare parts are so plentiful the shops practically pay you to take it off their hands, and bolt-on go-faster bits are a dime a dozen. Also, the block size of the 327 and the 350 are exactly the same, so it's going to take the same effort to convert to a 327 as what its going to be for a 350... Them's tried and trusted bullet proof motors with yonks of history behind them mateRiceburner wrote:Lexsucks, no thanks. 302 Ford or a 327 chev.
