4Y FEUL INJECTED BY AUTOZONE

Post by vossie1 »

Hi julle.

I also saw the 4Y-E at autozone last week :wth: BUT what confuses me is that the manifolds dont look much like the 3y import ones we normally use. The plenum looks substantially smaller too.

IMHO R15000 is too expensive, you could convert the standard 4Y to EFI for less than the difference in price.

Never seen a 22R-E off the shelf though....

Hi Reynhard,

The autozone 4Y EFi is most likely a Ching Chong knock-off, hence the different plenum(the ching chong carbs also look different). I would rather go the EFi route we are presently doing, original Toy intake, plenum, throttle body with the Dicktator EMU. One definite concern with the Ching Chong EFi is... what EMU does it use? ...and... can the EMU be programmed? One of big advantages of our Bennie style EFi is that the Dicktator can be setup on a dyno, which will give you the best possible performance/fuel economy...

I do not think you can map the ching choing Ecu's(when I did the GWM intake, quite similar than the OE Toyota 3Y, I ask GWM if I could map their ECU, they said nooo, I have to bring it to them.), if you get the thing what then. Dictator is easier!

The only thing is that even if it is that much more advanced than the 4Y, it still only delivers 5KW more than a 4Y.......Such a big price for such a small gain.....

There's 3 rings in married life,

First the engagement ring...

Then the wedding ring...

And finally the suffering...
