Central Locking Misbehaving

Post by DefibZA »

Greetings all

I have a 2007 3L D4D Vigo dbl cab.

Recently the central locking stopped working as did the electric windows.

I checked the fuses under the cubby and they seemed fine. When clicking the remote, I can hear a relay but doors don't open. The alarm does arm. Including this, the internal switch to lock doors does not work either.

Any ideas?

i would say start to look there... maybe when work as done on the electric windows, something got disconnected, or damaged on central locking wiring.

My best guess it that you have a plug that is loose or disconnected. Check behind the driver's side kick panel as this is where most of the wiring from the engine compartment to the car body is run.
