Turbo whine when engine is cold on 3.0 d4d

I have a 2008 hilux d4d 4x4 with 249000km on the clock. I started noticeing that the turbo gives a whining sound that i can hear inside with windows closed, when the engine is cold. And the sound goes away when the engine gets warmer. Catalitic converter was removed 6months ago. Need some advice please
