Differential Breather Kits for Hilux YN67R

Post by Stallion »

Good Evening to all,

Hope all are well by the grace of the Almighty.

I refer to the above mentioned subject.

Here in Tanzania, I haven't come across any Differential Breather Kits so far for the Hilux 4wd.

I therefore would like to have anyone's opinions here for a DIY Differential Breathers, that would be next to the OEM ones. I've an idea to use a 10mm Tractor Air Pipes for the lines to reach to the Engine Bay from the Differentials, what else will I require?

Your opinions will highly be appreciated.

Regards

HI Shermohammed. As far as I know there is no high level diff breather kit available from the agents. Just make them up yourself as explained in the links provided by Tim in the above posts. Easy job. :winkx:

Shermohammed, I installed mine 2 weeks ago - the front I routed into the engine bay and the rear, to save all that tube used to take it to the bay, I routed to the top of the fuel filler cap cavity. It is rather sheltered in there and high enough in my opinion (well above the door sills). Be sure to face your breather fuel filters' open ends downwards. If you are going to wade up to your window sills then route to the engine bay.

Good Evening Tim and Andy,

Thank you for your responses.

I managed to get them done on my own, and didn't route the tubes all the way to the Engine Bay, what i did was, raise the tube upwards and then routed them into a "U" Turn facing the end downwards :-), used good quality Adapter for the Diff Fitting and a Good Quality Tube (Pressure Tube) :-)

Afternoon Andy,

Yes that's a good idea, I'll post some pics or a short video clip of how I've done the Diff Breathers on the Stallion, currently, the Stallion is sick and I had to remove the Engine from her in order to get something fixed, that I'm going to post in a while in a different topic :frustrated:
