SPLINES IN SHAFT SFA 1996

Good day everyone ,

I have the opportunity of getting hold af an almost new powertrax locking diff. I know it is not the best option but is the one I can afford at the moment....I have conflicting info about the model it would be because in the USA the 2,8D pick up truck 1996 as mine didn´t sell , as it did in South Africa or South América ,and I thought maybe you guys being familiar with the model,could know if the shafts in the diff side are 30 or 27 splines. the one they offer me is 1610 LR that has 30 splines and apparently is the right one.I don´t have my truck with me at the moment so I can not pull the shaft out and count the splines, otherwise I´do that. Also my rear axle is G255 by the plate, so I would need to install the lock in the front one that is an open one and move the rear to the front.....I suppose!
