1993 2.8 diesel Hilux 350k on the clock has a new radiator fan complete new water pump new thermostat doesn’t use water or oil no cross contamination but as soon as you put it under load gets hot turn off aircon and it slowly cools but still above half on gauge

Diesels overheat if they over-fuel. Could be that with the load and heavier right foot required that the AFR is a bit too rich.

Before looking at injector and pump calibrations, I would make sure that the radiator is adequately effective. You changed the water pump, thermostat and fan but the fan cowl and the radiator itself are also vital components. The fact that it just copes when the A/C is off suggests the possibility that there is not enough cooling taking place. Could be that the airflow is restricted by insects and dirt clogging the fins. Also as radiators age the internal passages can become a little clogged, restricting water flow. Also the fins themselves become thin due to corrosion and if this happens the fins cannot dissipate heat fast enough.

I would look at the viscous fan. Seems Ike the fan isn't turning at the correct speed
