Hi everyone
My central locking has been draining my battery. My auto-electrician serviced the central locking mechanism which resolved the issue for a few months, but as he explained might happen, the problem has re-occurred and the battery is running flat again overnight. He said that I should disconnect the central locking relay (and thus disable central locking).
I live a 6-hour round trip from nearest city, so I prefer to do this myself, but I just can't find the central locking relay. He says it is on the driver's side under the dashboard but I've searched everywhere and can't find anything. I searched online and a few websites said it might be on the passenger side behind the kick plate on the left - but nothing there... I've attached some photos of the driver's side with the dashboard removed. The only thing that looks like the images online is the black rectangular box - but that is labelled as "Computer 4Wheel Drive Control". Any suggestions where I can find this thing?
thanks

Thanks for the tip, but I'm not looking for spares. I'm looking for the location of the relay.

Not sure about the KZ, but on my SFA (LTD) it's behind the passenger side kick panel. Looking at your pics I don't see anything that resembles mine, so it could be almost any of them .... could even be a split unit where the signal receiver is not integrated with the actual relay.
Maybe with it all open you can hear where the click comes from when you press the remote and then / or locate it by feeling each one as you key the remote.

Is it not one of those three black relays? Those look like the toyota relays for that sort of thing. Otherwise it surely must have a fuse that you can pull
Happy trails
