My 2003 Hilux DCSB 4x4 was sold new in Colombia SA. It has the . 2.4L 2RZ-FE motor. I need to flush the cooling system and replace the anti freeze. I have read on other forums that 2.4L Tacomas require a special antifreeze, and I wonder if this applies to my Hilux. My truck runs perfect, and I do not want to cause any damage by installing the incorrect antifreeze. The Owner's manual is a waste of time, and does not even mention anything about coolant. After dealing several times in the past with my local Toyota dealer, I have concluded that they are as dumb as a box of rocks, and their prices are outrageous.
So I am turning to you guys for help. Can I use a good quality ethylene-glycol based antifreeze, or do I need some special concoction brewed especially for Toyotas ??
Anybody ??? Thanks in advance.
