Re: Pics of my Stallion
One would have to have an instagram account and log in to view the videos and full size pics, but from what I can see the Hilux looks good and the home made snorkel is very well done.
When your road comes to an end ...... you need a HILUX!.

That stead is so clean and shiny, I would wonder if it even knows what off-road is?
Still looks good though and something to be proud of...

Thanks guys,
Yes Mud Dog, you need to have an Instagram account, this was done by my wife
Haboob, after every Farm and off road trips, she's cleaned, body, Chassis, engine and inside. This is how I take care of her. This way, there are no or near to nil chances of getting body rust, especially living at the coast line, and any leaks underneath and on engine are easily identified

If it backfires through carb your timing is to fast, if it backfires through exhaust your timing is too slow.

Re: Pics of my Stallion
I'd be a little hesitant about mounting that hi-lift jack on the bull bar, even though it looks cool. In the event of a crash, you have a significant risk of it breaking free and becoming a projectile. Rather bolt it inside the canopy.
Happy trails

Re: Pics of my Stallion
Thank you Moderator and Nic,
Nic, I looked at the options of mounting the Hi Lift inside the Canopy, wasn't fitting where I wanted it to come, as it's longer than the Canopy, and I need the Canopy space for loading for Farm. I needed a place where I could access it easily and found the bull bar to be the best option.
Regards

Re: Pics of my Stallion
Hey Mud Dog,
I used tin sheet for making it.
I took the measurements, then made the bends, then joined the bends with welding, then applied putty to get the curved bends as per requirement, then spray painted first with rubber Base paint, then applied stone chip paint.
Took me 3 days from the start to finish.
Regards

Upright on the rear bumper is a good option too.Shermohamed wrote: ↑Thu Feb 21, 2019 10:33 am Thank you Moderator and Nic,

Re: Pics of my Stallion
Yeah, that could've been another good option.
Anyways, since I've already made the mounts on the bull bar, I'll leave it there. Thanks for the advise though, will be useful in future.
