SFA Dash Pad Removal

Post by Tim86 »

Stunning orange lux as the feature pic at the moment:)

Can anyone please advise on how to remove the dash pad (foam section in front of the passenger) of an sfa? I have the screws and m10 nut off but it aint budging - I believe there are some clips closer to the windshield but they seem extremely tight, I have no idea of what they look like and am scared of damaging the pad. The bolt that the m10 screws onto is at such an angle as to prevent vertical uplift. Does anyone perhaps have a pic of one that has been removed??

Many thanks!

If I remember correctly, there are one or two screws into it from underneath the front edge somewhere. You've taken off the instrument binnacle too?

Thanks Nic, it's the side register removal that is messing me around - it won't budge and I'm worried about graunching the interior. Might have to clean the air vents in-situ then:)

If I recall correctly I used a thin butterknife, the ones with the bone handles are great, to pry it out. There are spring steel catch things on top I think.
