Please help... 2.2 4 Y fuel injection. Oil light comes on under 1000rpm.
Fitted new oil pump. Changed oil still light comes on

Check oil pressure with mechanical gauge to confirm actual oil pressure.
Your oil sender unit may be faulty. Not uncommon.
You should have done that even before you replaced the oil pump!
