Torn CV Boot

Post by Opsmedic »

Hi All
I discovered my Lux's left outer cv boot has a small tear in it. A small amount of grease has come out, about a teaspoon full. My question is will it be ok to drive for a while. I need to do a 300 km round tomorrow all on tar road. Or should i rather park it and use the platkar?

Thanks
Dave

Decent duct tape all the way around should be good for 300 kms.

Keep the speed under 180 and you'll be fine.
