Lexus V8 conversion
Hi all,
I am looking at having the Lexus conversion done on my 1992 Hilux 4x4 and is looking for the best guy to do it.
Can anyone recommend someone that is not to far from the Calvinia area?
Some references would also be nice.
Thanks
Jacques

Re: Lexus V8 conversion
Ek is ook besig om my ombouing te beplan.
Hoppy vat my 2.5 tdi oor (haal hom saterdag uit)
As so kan julle kwoteer asb? mossie.mostert@eskom.co.za

Re: Lexus V8 conversion
And I am told (not sure if it is true) that the new vvt Lexus V8 motor is basically made from aluminium, and as such you do not need to increase the size of the radiator??? I am seriously looking into this, but alas I am up in Joburg.
Can anyone confirm this?

Re: Lexus V8 conversion
I wouldn't stick with the standard radiator... My 1UZ got hot with my 45series standard copper rad so i got Mark Watson to fit me a 79series LC Aluminium Rad now it runs nice and cool at 87deg if im not mistaking before the electric fan kicks in...optirite wrote:And I am told (not sure if it is true) that the new vvt Lexus V8 motor is basically made from aluminium, and as such you do not need to increase the size of the radiator??? Re: Lexus V8 conversion
I agree with you but evidently the VVTI motor is aluminium and runs much cooler.Hangover wrote:I wouldn't stick with the standard radiator... Re: Lexus V8 conversion
Mike, I'm afraid to say the only way that a standard 4y/22r radiator is going to keep a V8 cool (any V8) is if you don't start it!
Crooza VX 80 efi - fully locked.
