SFA Brake Calipers

Post by IndianaJones7746 »

Hi Guys

Does anyone know which parts store, carries replacement SFA front brake calipers?

Or the Toyota part number for the Caliper Service Kit, and what parts is all included in this kit?

Does Powerbrake sell replacement calipers, or only calipers for the upgraded vented discs?

Or does anyone perhaps have a used set in good condition for me to buy?

Regards

Try your nearest Goldwagen branch - they started with Toyota spares now but the knowledge and part numbers are "n bietjie deurmekaar" at the moment. Teething problems.

Not as far as I know .... just seal kits, anti-squeal shims and anti-rattle springs. Never come a cross piston replacement spares. A pity, because even if the sleeve in the body is pitted, it makes very little difference as long as the seal seat is good. A pitted piston on the other hand compromises the whole assembly.

I melted seals on the brake caliper being towed back from sabie a word of advice I am mechanical minded and thought stopping power was up to scratch but if you buy sfa redo all four corners and if you are unsure buy the recons from hoppy or get it done buy break specialist. It cost me R4000 towing fee and then still had fix the breaks.

Dankie Oom Dawie
